Over the last couple of months we have been working hard to optimize KentTheatre so that it ranks high in search engines and in turn helps you to promote your shows and events to a wider area.  As an example if you were to do a search on Google for the term 'kent plays' (results taken on 2nd November 2009), you will see that we are now sitting at number 1 out of a possible 11,600,000 search results.  We are determined to work hard for you, the amateur dramatics companies who deserve recognition for all the hard work that you put into producing your shows with normally no financial rewards to the individuals that take part.

For all of you who have become members so far, you will now be receiving our monthly newsletter keeping you up to date with the latest shows being performed throughout the Kent area and for those of you who perform and promote you now have an additional means to promote your shows for free through our newsletters.

We have also added a forum where you can post helpful information that you may want to share with the KentTheatre community or maybe you have a question or need help with something, maybe finding a certain prop or stage set piece.

In the coming weeks we will also be adding a new category to the forum dedicated to those who have a question regarding acting, directing and playwriting that will be supported by Paul Doust who has worked professionally all over the country as actor, director, playwright and workshop facilitator. He has had many stage plays both published & produced.

You will also notice in the members area, once your are signed in, that you now have access to open auditions, workshops and the ability to add new events and we will be adding new special benefits for you in the coming months.  As a member you can also post comments and start new threads in the forum.

We still have many more exciting things to add to KentTheatre to give you a wealth of information to make your social life in Kent even more pleasing and help you the amateur dramatics companies.
