This year we are launching The Orchard Summer Youth Project with a production of FAME The Musical, the stage version of the film and TV series which has played seven times in the West Endand toured the UK four times.

FAME follows the students at New York's School of the Performing Arts through their four-year course. We see them coming to terms with life and relationships: we see those who persevere, who are resilient – and those who are not. Above all, we see them perceiving the need to strive for excellence performing all styles including classical, rap, ballet, modern and hip-hop – as contemporary as MTV, but live and kickin’!

A spectacular smash-hit musical set in the 80’s, with a cast of 250 local youngsters singing, dancing and acting from one show stopping moment to another. FAME includes classic songs that will have you dancing in the aisles and making you ‘Want to live forever!’
