‘The Con Man’ visits the Tom Thumb Theatre on 22 & 24 April

New in town actor Clive Holland is happy to have the support of the Tom Thumb Theatre in the process of developing a new play which he plans to tour throughout the UK.

Clive arrived in Thanet two years ago and brought with him 30 years experience as an actor and writer. A life ‘on the road’ to theatres, arts centres and even village halls has meant  that there are few corners of the UK  in which he has not performed.  He navigates brilliantly via a network of hostelries and places in which not to stay. He has launched Mischievous Theatre here in Thanet to create new work in new ways.

The Con Man springs from Clive’s many experiences as an actor, writer and director. Elizabethan actor Tom Askew has been there, done it , coped, laughed, cried  . . . and survived. He is a philanderer, a rogue, a rebel – a man with a heart who may be about to lose his life.

Clive is in the process of developing the play. Prior to completing the writing and taking the show on the road, he is further exploring the character of Tom and his story, by sharing the ‘work in progress’ with an audience.

You can play your part in this journey by coming to an hour-long performance at the Tom Thumb Theatre and sharing your views during a lively discussion after the show.

Performances are on Thursday 22 April and Saturday 24 April at 8pm each day. Tickets are only £8.00 and include a glass of wine or a soft drink. Please be aware that the play includes adult material and the odd naughty word.
